Winter has arrived

Winter has arrived, and most of us have surrendered our nakedness to the cold, waiting patiently for the warm months to return. For the days when we can run wild beneath open skies, and perhaps share quiet lovemaking among the trees.
December lingers—the season of overconsumption—when gifts are bought to prove love, many destined for the trash before the year has even turned.
It is a strange time to be alive. The planet grows tired. Only fragments of wildness remain, animals clinging to shrinking forests, forests stripped of their ancient giants.
Still, there is hope. Together, we can choose another way. Let the coming year be gentler: consume less, plant wildflowers and trees, spare animals, save rainwater, and remember how to live in balance again.
